Job Purpose:
The Business Intelligence Lead is crucial within the D&T department at HEINEKEN International, spearheading the APAC Data & Analytics Hub. It is central to operationalizing our strategy of establishing standardized and scalable data foundations across the region and enterprise. Renowned for delivering cutting-edge innovation, robust technology, and advanced analytics, the D&T department equips HEINEKEN with a significant technological advantage, aligning with our ambitious organizational goals.
The role in as part of the APAC Data & Analytics Hub is critical in Heineken to operationalise our strategy of standardised and scalable data foundations across the region and enterprise. The role holder will work with colleagues across Heineken as part of a team that drive the Research & Development activities of the Advanced Analytics organization by identifying and developing new Analytics opportunities for the enterprise within a specific Function or a group of Functions.
It is essential that the role holder delivers analytical solutions that are both theoretically sound but create immediate business value. This will be achieved by building strong relationships and collaboration with members of the broader HEINEKEN data organisation including Insight Enablement, Data Management and Global Analytics and various programs across the central, regional and Operating Company (OpCo) structures.
In particular, he/she will partner with a growing group of data professionals such as Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers and Product Managers who play a crucial role in the development and delivery of Analytics products at scale.
Your role & responsibilities
- Stakeholder engagement & management (Regional/Opco business functions including sales, finance, marketing, supply chain and shared services/Opcos/Global) for requirement gathering & finalization, dashboard design, status updates, business signoffs etc.
- Be responsible for project and task prioritisation and capacity planning.
- Gather and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations to various key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Use different analytics techniques such as descriptive reports, diagnostic dashboards, machine learning and predictive modelling to provide deeper insights and recommendations to solve critical business problems.
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas that support efficient querying and analysis of various data sources.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Develop insightful business analyses, that provide measurable value, business process improvements and solve challenging business problems.
- Use design-thinking processes to develop analytics assets for business consumption.
- Work with various internal teams, including data management, to ensure data quality and accuracy by conducting data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation on data structures and data flows to support the analytics team and stakeholders in their work.
- Need to stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in data analytics and share knowledge with the team.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making related to data analytics and data management in the hub.
- Design experiments and pioneer methodologies to measure the value of analytics projects that you deploy.
- Develop and validate the appropriate metrics to measure success for a given problem.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional partners from engineering, data science, analytics product manager chapters.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional partners from Global Analytics, Analytics Hubs, and various Operating Companies within Heineken regionally and globally.
- Present outcomes of analysis to all levels of the company.
- Be a trusted business advisor and problem solver.
Your skills & qualifications
Education & Experience:
- BA/MSc in a quantitative related field; equivalent work experience accepted.
- 5+ years in a BI or analytics role
Must have (all levels):
- Exposure with Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server DB, SSIS, SSAS)
- Exposure with Relational Database Management Systems (Eg: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle DB).
- Exposure with Data Transformation, Cleansing and Ingestion using the tools like SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Data Models (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema).
- Experience with Tabular and Multi-Dimensional Data Models.
- Exposure with the Data Visualization and Reporting tools like Power BI/Tableau/Spotfire.
- Exposure with Microsoft Cloud services like Azure Synapse/Azure SQL DB/Azure Data Factory/Azure Analysis Services.
- Exposure with DAX, PowerBI architecture, capacity & costing knowledge
- Experience working with a large development team (CI/CD)
- Strong communication, project and stakeholder management & structured problem solving.
- Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, etc.). Experience working with JIRA
- Able to translate analysis and conclusions into actionable recommendations that deliver business value.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and priorities projects and deliverables multiple projects;
- Proven experience in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Highly proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal English and local language.
Nice to have:
- Experience in data analysis, machine learning or related field.
- Experience in FMCG/Beverage Industry.
